Please note that both convention hotels, Hotel Albuquerque and Best Western Rio Grande, are sold out for the main convention dates.
The Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau has lodging information at www.visitalbuquerque.org/.
Here are some local hotels you might check that are within driving distance:
Hyatt Regency - http://albuquerque.hyatt.com
Doubletree - http://doubletree3.hilton.com
Crowne Plaza - http://www.ihg.com/crowneplaza/hotels/us/en/reservation
Nativo Lodge - a sister hotel with the same owners as the Hotel Albuquerque. A small hotel, with lots of local Native American art. It‘s 8 miles from the convention hotel, but their room rate is lower, so with the money you save you can rent a car or take taxis. We expect there to be a number of convention attendees staying here so you may be able to get together and share transportation. For information or to book call the Reservations number at 505-222-8780. Room rates vary depending on the type of room, and they provide AAA and AARP discounts. You should also ask if they have any special offers available for the dates you are booking, and check into the cost for one of their special “artist” rooms which have been hand painted by local artists!

Our Convention hotel is conveniently located in Old Town Albuquerque, within walking distance to shops, galleries and restaurants. All Convention activities will be at the Hotel Albuquerque—registration, optional classes, trade show, banquet and the PastelWorld Exhibitions will all be on the ground floor. The hotel has a new restaurant, Garduño's at Old Town Restaurant & Cantina, and the Q-Bar lounge, voted Albuquerque's best Happy Hour spot. Rooms feature in-room WiFi, gourmet coffee and tea, hair dryer, iron and ironing board.
Convention attendees can also enjoy the spacious seating areas throughout the first-floor convention center, and the outdoor seating on the covered area overlooking the beautiful courtyard and beyond to the swimming pool and chapel. Throughout each day, artists congregated in these areas to rest between classes, talk, compare notes about classes and workshops, and enjoy the company of other artists.

The cut off date for this special rate is May 11, 2015. For bookings after that date, higher rates may apply — book your room early, we expect this hotel to fill quickly, and have additional rooms blocked at the Best Western (see below).

If the main convention dates show as sold out, you can call the hotel to be added to a waitlist.
