The International Association of Pastel Societies’ Sixth Biennial International Convention held May 6-8, 2005 in Raleigh, North Carolina was a resounding hit with all who attended.

This year the grand opening demonstrator was celebrated artist Albert Handell PSA, and the keynote speaker was
M. Stephen Doherty, active outdoor painter and Editor in Chief of American Artist, as well as other publications.

Pre-conference workshops and workshops were led by Margaret Evans, Duane Wakeham, Richard McDaniel and Brenda Mattson. Other workshop instructors or speakers included: Greg Biolchini PSA, Bill Creevy PSA, Alan Flattmann PSA, Glenna Hartmann, Ann Heywood, L. Diane Johnson, Jack Pardue PSA, Maggie Price, Bob Rohm OPA PSA, Pat Suggs PSA PWSWC, Sue Viders, Janet Walsh AWS and Anita Louise West.
